Nathan Bruinhout -Remedial Massage Therapist
Offering a range of remedial and sports/deep tissue massage procedures
My name is Nathan Bruinhout. I have completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage at Victoria University and I specialise in remedial and sports therapy.
I’m here to give you the physical edge over your competitor in whichever sporting field you’re in, whether it be on a professional level or simply keeping fit. I’ll be able to assist your performance, help recovery and eliminate those niggling injuries by providing you with regular treatment.
Sporting activities aside, if your job includes sitting for long periods or staying on your feet, most likely your muscles will feel strained or constricted due to lack of movement. I can help you with this as well!
Book an appointment with me today and we’ll find the best treatment for you!
I was asked the other day if we offer cupping.
The answer is yes.
Like any of the skills that we have, we as therapists make a choice as to when we need to use it, to create the most change and give you as the client, the most benefit.
Most people do find cupping very therapeutic, energising and effective for reducing muscular pain.
Cupping can cause a bright red flush in the skin as the circulation is temporarily improved and sometimes the cups leave marks, known as Sha. Please note these are not bruises. We can talk cupping marks another time.
All 3 of us use cupping and in different ways.
Have you had cupping therapy before?
Get your week off to a great start by booking in for Monday!
AFL Sunraysia Youth Girls U14 competition Grand Final
Today was a great day of footy! Even though it wasn't fantastic weather conditions, there was a big crowd all very loud supporting their sides. All 3 games were very competitive and the speed of the games were up. All clubs players and coaches were respectful towards the umpires throughout the comp. This competition is a perfect opportunity to develop our juniors and seniors boundary umpires into becoming field umpires with so many putting their hand up to give it a try. Can't wait to see the Youth Girls comp bigger and better next season!

FEELING SORE AFTER A GAME?
All winter sports are underway! You might be finding your muscles getting achy and tired. Also not moving the best that you know you can.
Remedial Massage is an effective component for any training program, before or after sport. Helps reduce pain, assists flexibility and helps you to perform at your best for longer.
I've personally been going to the The Weight Buffet for well over a now year for education and physical preparation. Also incorporating remedial massage at Simply Remedial in my recovery when required. I've been able to run up to 15kms a game when umpiring with only a little bit of soreness. Even though I'm getting older, I feel physically the best I've ever felt for a long time.

A common theme is presenting in clinic at the moment.
Tight neck and shoulders from stress.
There is a bit going on at this time of year.
The winter sports season is about to begin
Daylight saving ended
Did I mention school holidays? 😆
Remember, remedial massage therapy is fantastic for treating tight neck and shoulders, freeing you from the classic tension headache.
Also sometimes what we need is human connection. When the world is whizzing around you it can help to slow things down, get out of your head and into your body again with grounding practices.
